ANNUAL CLEANINGS
Dental Cleaning and Exam
It is recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA) to get a dental cleaning twice per year (every six months) if your teeth have no specific issues. Routine dental cleanings are essential to maintain your best oral health. The hygienists will remove plaque, tartar, and debris that you are unable to remove with brushing and flossing alone. Staying up to date on your dental cleanings, exams, and x-rays will help prevent gum disease and cavities.
At-home oral hygiene
. Brush your teeth at least twice per day for 2 minutes
. Gently brush your tongue every time you brush your teeth
. Floss your teeth before brushing to remove any debris
. Use a fluoride toothpaste
. Limit sugary and acidic foods
. Get routine dental cleanings, exams, and x-rays
Child Cleaning and Exam
It is recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA) to have your child's teeth cleaned twice per year (every six months). Taking care of your child's teeth early means shorter/less appointments, fewer issues, and a more comfortable and easy experience for the child.
At-home oral hygiene for children
. Help your child brush their teeth twice per day using fluoride toothpaste
. Use a pea-sized amount of toothpaste and make sure they always spit it out
. Gently brush your child's tongue
. Help your child floss before brushing to remove debris
. Help your child brush until they have good brushing skills
. Avoid sugary and acidic food and drinks
. Serve water to toddler at bed time/nap rather than juice or milk
. Routine dental cleanings, exams, and x-rays
At-home oral hygiene for babies
. Wipe gums twice daily with soft, clean cloth to remove bacteria
. Wipe tongue in circular motion with soft, clean cloth or gauze
. When teeth erupt, brush with small, soft-bristled tooth brush twice daily
. Use rice-sized amount of fluoride free, baby toothpaste
